Moroland
The Moroland (Mindanao, Sulu, Basilan, Tawi-Tawi and Palawan), also presently known as Southern Philippines, comprises the area of about
96,438 sq. km- about 33 percent of the total land territories of the Philippines. Currently, it contains 23 of the Philippines’ 73 provinces.
The land has been picturesquely described by Herman Hagedorn as a vast green crab, in tropic waters, stretching out an irritated claw after a
school of minnows skipping off in the direction of Borneo.
The crab is Mindanao. The irritated claw is the Zamboanga Peninsula. The minnows are the islands of the Sulu Archipelago. By way of comparison,
Moroland is larger in territory than either Portugal or Austria. The Muslim population of the Moroland outnumbers the populations of many
independent countries such as Albania, Costa Rica and Libya.
The Moros are the Islamized people and the native inhabitants of the Moroland who were once the majority inhabitants of the area. However, due
to the consequence of the colonization of Mindanao, the status of the Moros as majority has diminished from majority to minority. The exact
figure of the Moro population is difficult to determine because of conflicting information.

You forgot Sabah! We all forget Cebu!!
The total ‘unoficial’ population figure for Bangsamoro is some 27.75 million!
Bangsamoro being (in the least) Mindanao – Sulu archipelago – Palawan – Sabah.
23.5 million in Mindanao/Sulu – including 5.5 million non registered – Moro 4.5/ Lumad1.0!
0.75 million in Palawan – 250,000 Moro
3.5 million in Sabah – 2 million Moro (1 million undocumented) – 1.25 million Bumiputra (Malay) – 0.25 million Chinese/Others
The Moro population including 2 million ‘refugees’ in Sabah and the 250,000 Moro in Palawan is in excess of 10 million – not the 2.5 million total as proclaimed by Manila. (MILF)
There are 2 million Lumad in Mindanao and not the 1 million stated by Manila – here they group the Christian converts of the Lumad into non Lumad. (4th I)
There are 12 million Visayas settlers in Mindanao of which a minority is pro Moro. That minority of some 4 million is pro Bangsamoro (Balik Moro) with many being Communist.
The rest being Bumiputra/Tagalog/Chinese etc.
So who is in a minority?
On my calculation
ALL Moro/Lumad/Balik Moro – 16 million
All foreigners – Bumiputra/Visayas/Tagalog/Chinese – 11.75 million
